A lot of good results from both Olufsen and Kerec, and a Monte Rosa Tour that was close to perfect have taken the team to its highest rank of all time, with other words, it has ben a terrific season so far.
But at day 32 this season Nick launched a new race engine, which changed to game completely, so now rider’s peak age has increased from 24-27 to 27-29, the chance of riders under 25 to win a race has ben lowered by almost 50 per cent.
With my 2 young captains this is terrible news. It will be very hard for the team to score points the following couple of seasons, and the new race engine has result in that Perreira may be a better captain for some races than Olufsen and Kerec. I haven’t figured out a way to solve this problem for the team yet. But a solution could be to sell Kerec and buy an older captain, who is more likely to score points in the following seasons, still not sure if it is a good Idea though.
